Steele Bookkeeping provides QuickBooks Online cleanup services for small and mid-sized businesses across the United States. If your transactions are uncategorized, your accounts are unreconciled, or your reports no longer look right, we will correct the errors and bring your file back to an accurate, reliable state. If your books are months behind—not just disorganized—see our bookkeeping cleanup and catch-up services.
Many business owners don't realize how far their books have drifted until something looks wrong. Your file may need attention if:
Your bank or credit card accounts have not been reconciled in months
Uncategorized transactions keep piling up
Your profit and loss statement or balance sheet doesn't look right
You notice duplicate transactions, vendors, or customers
Your CPA or tax preparer keeps asking for corrections
Uncategorized transactions. We review each transaction and assign it to the correct account, so your reports show what is actually happening in your business.
Duplicate entries. Duplicated transactions can overstate your income or expenses. We locate and remove them, along with duplicate vendors and customers.
Unreconciled accounts. We reconcile your bank and credit card accounts against your statements, so your QuickBooks balances match your real balances.
A messy chart of accounts. Over time, charts of accounts become cluttered with unused, overlapping, or confusing accounts. We simplify and organize yours so your reports are clear and meaningful.
Accurate financial reports you can rely on
Organized records that are ready for your CPA or tax preparer
Greater confidence when making business decisions
A solid foundation for ongoing monthly bookkeeping
How much does a QuickBooks Online cleanup cost?
The cost depends on how many months need attention, how many transactions and accounts are involved, and the condition of your records. After a free consultation and a look at your file, we provide a customized quote.
Can I clean up my QuickBooks Online myself?
Yes, if you have only a few minor issues and you are comfortable with accounting basics. However, for months of backlog or errors that could affect your taxes, professional help typically saves time and prevents mistakes that are difficult to undo later.
Can AI clean up my QuickBooks Online?
Automation can speed up routine tasks, such as suggesting transaction categories. However, those suggestions can be wrong, and they don't account for the details of your business. A bookkeeper reviews and corrects the results so your books are accurate.
Whether you have a few errors or months of unfinished work, we can help you start fresh with accurate, up-to-date books. Schedule your free 15-minute consultation today, and let's talk about the best way to get your QuickBooks Online back in order.
